CARIBOU, Maine — The National Weather Service in Caribou has issued a flood advisory for an ice jam near Crouseville.
The advisory was issued at 12:31 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, and continues until 6:30 p.m.
At 12:28 p.m., public reports indicated an ice jam in Crouseville, with water approaching Route 164. This jam is stationary with water possibly getting higher this afternoon, weather officials said.
The NWS reminds motorists to “turn around, don’t drown” when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
