Country star visits
The University of Maine at Presque Isle’s Student Activities Office will host country music artist Timmy Brown on Thursday, April 27, at 7 p.m. in the Auditorium in Wieden Hall.
Brown is a singer/songwriter/Nashville recording artist from Norton, Mass., who has a definite style of his own. He has grown an avid fan base around the New England area.

Empty Bowls
UMPI’s Ceramics I and II classes will hold their Empty Bowls fundraiser to benefit Martha and Mary’s Soup Kitchen on Thursday, April 27, from 6-8 p.m. at the Sargent Family Community Center.
Visitors are invited to support Martha and Mary’s by purchasing unique hand-crafted bowls made and donated by local artists and students. Buyers will receive a cup of soup with their bowl purchase from local businesses and community members.

Red Cross Club supper
The UMPI Red Cross Club will host a spaghetti supper and auction on Saturday, April 29, at 5 p.m. in the Campus Center.
Attendees are invited to wear red and support the local Red Cross. The featured item is a red and white twin size “Ohio Star” handmade quilt donated by Marie Bagley of Mapleton.
The cost is $10 a ticket, $5 for students or $25 a family. Tickets may be purchased at Aroostook County American Red Cross of Northern and Eastern Maine in Caribou, the UMPI Campus Store, Bradley’s Citgo and C Store in Presque Isle, and from club members.
