EDITH MARIE WRIGHT, NEW LIMERICK – Edith Marie Wright, 79, passed away, Sunday April 16, 2017, at her home. She was born July 6, 1937, in Houlton, the daughter of David A. And Sarah Ann (Heal) Brewer. Edith graduated from Houlton High School class of 1955. She married Robert Wright in 1958 and together they would raise their family. She worked for over thirty years in the laundry department at Houlton Regional Hospital and also was employed for many years at local laundry matts. She was an extremely hard worker and therefore loved taking naps when she could. Her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by eight children; Robert Wright and his wife Susan, Roberta Hand and her husband Travis, Brenda Bailey and her husband Brent, Rod Wright and his significant other Andrea Bickford, Rita Spaulding and her husband Kent, Barbara Wright and her significant other Frank Michno, Randy Wright and his wife Kara, and Ricky Wright, a sister Gladys Belyea and her husband William, fifteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Robert, and several brothers and sisters. Friends may call 11AM Friday April 21, 2017 at Dunn Funeral Home, where services will be held at 12Noon with Deacon Al Burleigh officiating. A private committal will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery on Smyrna St. A reception will be held at the home of her son Robert following the service.
