MADAWASKA, Maine — Maine Drug Enforcement Agency agents and technicians were at this home at 507 Main Street (U.S. Route 1) in Madawaska late Wednesday morning, April 19.

The active investigation has caused a short southbound section of Main St. to be temporarily rerouted. Representatives from MDEA and the Maine’s Public Safety Department had not confirmed the nature of the investigation, as of Wednesday afternoon. Madawaska Police secured and cordoned off the building shortly after noon on Tuesday. Assisting the home Wednesday were personnel from Madawaska’s police and fire departments and the Aroostook County Sheriff’s office.
