County Commissioners to meet April 26

HOULTON, Maine — The Aroostook County Commissioners will meet Wednesday, April 26, in the second-floor conference room of the Sheriff’s Office at 1 p.m.

The agenda is as follows.

Art. 1: Call to order.

Art. 2: Public comment period.

Art. 3: Approval of agenda.

Art. 4: Approval of minutes of the April 5, 2017, special meeting.

Art. 5: Other items for approval and signatures:

  1. Attendance record.
  2. Bills and warrants.
  3. State of Maine vs. Akahenten Ferguson criminal forfeiture.
  4. MDOT overlimit permit.

Art 6: Update on ACAP programs and priorities for 2017 by Jason Parent.

Art. 7: Approval of paid volunteer firefighters for North Lakes Fire and Rescue (Darren Woods).

Art. 8: Sheriff’s appointments:

  1. Approval of part-time dispatcher.
  2. Approval of part-time corrections officers.

Art 9: Bids: Connor recreation facility maintenance.

Art. 10: Authorization to execute a contract with Securus Technologies for jail inmate telephone and records management systems (Sheriff Crandall).

Art. 11: Consideration of proposal from Keefe Commissary Network for jail commissary and inmate account services (Sheriff Crandall).
