The Houlton Chapter of TOPS met Friday, April 21, at the Aldergate Building on Kelleran Street, with 11 TOPS and four KOPS members present.
Cheryl Driscoll was the loser of the week and the runner-up was Marsha Reed. Great job, girls.
Betty Wyman won the skinny dish and Jean Merritt won the 50/50.
Our latest contest ends next week as we learn the letter intelligent. Plan ahead to make smart food choices, daily exercises and especially “Me Time’.
The program was presented by Pam Richardson on cooking food using less oil or butter. Checking labels will help us learn how foods have added oil, sodium and sugar. Frozen french fries, for example, have vegetable oil added. Discover for yourself the additives in our processed foods by looking at the labels.
We receive so much support from each other at our weekly meetings. Thank you to all our members.
We always welcome new members. Remember the first meeting is free. Come join us. For more information, call Pam Richardson at 538-8760.
