PRESQUE ISLE: Opening reception in UMPI’s Pullen Art Gallery, 6-8 p.m., for Monica Quist and her Senior Show. Quist will present her thesis in a gallery talk at 6:30; her work will be on display May 4-13. Free and open to the public.
PRESQUE ISLE: Opening reception, 6-8 p.m., at Wintergreen Arts Center for month-long exhibit of upcycled art by students of UMPI’s Studio 923 club and other local artists. Refreshments will be served; free and open to the public.

PERHAM: Aroostook Birders Perham Bog/Salmon Brook Lake birding hike, 7-11 a.m. Meet at Perham Town Office for a three-mile roundtrip excursion along the railroad trail and boardwalk. Rain or shine; bring proper clothing, snacks and water.
