HILLSVILLE, VA – April 9, 1943 – April 16, 2017
Thomas D Perry 74 of Hillsville, VA went home to be with the Lord Sunday, April 16 2017, at the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC. He was born on, April 9, 1943, in Caribou, ME to Norma Boyer Perry and Phillip Paul Perry of Limestone, ME.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years Avis Perry of Hillsville, VA. Daughter Sarah Jane MacKillop, son in law Michael MacKillop, and granddaughter Heather MacKillop of Florence, SC. Sister Nancy Doody and her husband Gale Doody of Limestone, ME. nephew Al Wieburg and niece Sonya Wieburg. Thomas was predeceased by his brother Paul Perry.
Thomas came to know Jesus as his Savior at the age of 13.
Thomas married Avis Pearl Watson, May 3, 1969, in Cloverdale, NB.
Thomas retired in 1992 after teaching high school for 26 years in Caribou, ME. After retirement his passion was serving with the Gideon Ministry.
He served faithfully at the First Baptist Church of Hillsville, VA. At this time his name will be removed from the membership role and added to the role of the CHURCH TRIUMPHANT!
