LIMESTONE, ME & WHITEHORSE BEACH, MA – Marie F. (Amuzzini) Kessock, 83, wife of David C. Kessock, passed away Friday afternoon, May 5, 2017 at a Caribou healthcare facility, following a brief illness.
She was born December 18, 1933 in Boston, MA, the daughter of Joseph and Sadie (Scanlon) Adler. Marie was a graduate of the St. Gregory High School, Dorchester, MA and furthered her education at Cape Cod Community College, West Barnstable, MA, earning her certification as a Certified Nurses Assistant. As a young woman, Marie worked in several factories and as a telephone switchboard operator in Massachusetts and later worked at the Heritage Hill Nursing Home in Plymouth, MA. She had been a resident of the Limestone, Maine area for the past several years. Marie loved the beach with it’s ocean views, swimming and seafood. She also enjoyed dining out and dancing.
She is survived by her husband of thirty-seven years, David Kessock of Presque Isle; four children and their spouses, Marie “Ree” and Bill Ferrans of Shelby Township, MI, Roberta “Bobbi” and the Rev. William Farina of Clinton Township, MI; Maria and Gerry Racine of Hernando, FL, the Rev. Robert Jr. and Mary Amuzzini of Limestone; eight grandchildren, Laura Bastoni and her fiancé P.J. Perry, Russell Bastoni, all of Massachusetts, Evan Thompson and his wife Amanda of Florida, Amy Zvanciuk of Michigan, Dr. Andrew Farina and his fiancé Dr. Allison Klapetzky of Indiana, Stephen Farina and his wife Christina of Michigan, Christena and Anthony Rector of Gorham, Robert T. Amuzzini III and his fiancé Lauren Szczygiel of Massachusetts; as well as six great grandchildren.
Friends may call Thursday, May 11, 2017 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield, where the funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Robert T. Amuzzini Jr. and Roberta Farina officiating. Interment will follow at Advent Cemetery, Limestone.
