WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Senator Susan Collins announced that Elsa Thibodeau, a Stockholm native, and Jacob Towle, a Presque Isle native, have both been hired as staff assistants in her Washington, D.C., office.

Thibodeau will work in the senator’s personal office, while Towle will join Collins’ staff on the Senate Aging Committee.

Both Thibodeau and Towle recently completed their fall internships in Collins’ D.C. office, and Thibodeau previously interned in the senator’s constituent service centers in Caribou and Bangor.

“Both Elsa and Jacob demonstrated a strong work ethic and made valuable contributions to my office during their internships,” said Collins. “I am pleased that they will continue to serve Mainers as members of my staff in Washington, D.C.”

Both are 2016 graduates of the University of Maine. Towle majored in business marketing and management, while Thibodeau received a degree in international affairs, with a concentration in women and gender studies.
