HOULTON, Maine — A 32-year-old Houlton man was injured Wednesday afternoon when he lost control of his vehicle, causing it to roll over and strike a house.

Ryan Cottle was travelling north on outer Court Street when he lost control of the black Hyundai Sonata he was driving at about 2 p.m., according to Houlton Police Chief Tim DeLuca. The vehicle flipped onto its roof and came to a stop after striking the house.

Cottle had to be removed from the vehicle with assistance from members of the Houlton fire and ambulance departments. He was taken to Houlton Regional Hospital to be treated for unspecified injuries. His condition was not immediately available.

Damage to the home appeared minimal.

Chief DeLuca said the incident remains under investigation.
