DAVID L. FORBES, HOULTON – David L. Forbes, 80, passed away peacefully, Tuesday December 17, 2016, at home with his family. He was born September 16, 1936, in Houlton, the son of Albert Peter and Lucille (Anderson) Forbes.
David grew up in Houlton and graduated from Houlton High School. He was a college graduate and completed his post graduate course in Precision Machine in 1974. David served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was discharged in 1956 with the National Defense Service Medal.
He is survived by two sons; Brian Forbes, James Forbes and his wife Peggy, as well as several grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son Keith Forbes.
A grave side service with military honors will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Patten Cemetery, Patten, with the Rev. Randall Burns officiating.
