PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Maine Epsilon Master chapter of Beta Sigma Phi met on May 18 at the home of Tammy Walton.
Cathy Walton and the social committee served appetizers before the business meeting. Vice President Bonnie Cowett called the meeting to order. Thank you notes were read from GIFT and Homeless Services of Aroostook. The service committee reported that Easter baskets were made and delivered to the Battered Women’s Shelter and the homeless shelter. Both agencies were extremely appreciative of the group’s generosity.
Members voted to donate to Relay for Life and to the Larry Cowett Memorial Scholarship at Northern Maine Community College.
Judy Kenney thanked all who attended a 90th birthday party for her mother, member Ginny Packard. Ginny resides at Leisure Gardens and was thrilled to share her birthday celebration with friends.
Betsy Fitzherbert shared that her grandaughter is a finalist for an art contest and scholarship and encouraged members to vote for her online.
Lucy Adams won the 50/50. Following the meeting, the social committee served delicious desserts.
