WOODLAND, Maine – Philip L. Ketch, 76, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday June 9, 2017, at Caribou, following a heroic battle with cancer. Mr. Ketch owned and operated Phil’s Auto Repair in Woodland from 1977 until his retirement in 2008.
Phil faithfully attended the First Baptist Church of Woodland for many years and was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Phil leaves behind his loving wife of over 59 years, Gloria (Brown) Ketch of Woodland. In addition, he is survived by his children; Belinda McLaughlin and husband Charlie of Woodland, Cheri Rose and husband David of Caribou, Philip Ketch Jr. and wife Lorna of Pensacola, FL, Juanita Pelletier and husband Paul of Woodland, Rob Ketch of Kenduskeag and Sheldon Ketch and his significant other Lora Neilander of Woodland. Two brothers, Richard Ketch of Stockholm and Ward Ketch of Pennsylvania, two sisters, Juanita Knowlton of Caribou and Myrtle Post of Iowa. Nine grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Mr. Ketch was predeceased by an infant son Paul, a granddaughter, Amy Ketch-Leitch, a great-grandson, Grayson Wentworth, his mother Hope, his father Herbert, a sister Louise Judd and a brother Dale.
Friends called at the First Baptist Church of Woodland on Tuesday June 13, 2017 from 12:00 noon until time of services which were held at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Ron Rosser, officiating. Interment was in the Woodland Cemetery. Following the services, all were invited to a time of continued fellowship and refreshments in the church dining hall.
