The muggies have landed. After a nice week, we ended the week with a little damp weather. It canceled the couples scramble on Friday night. It will be combined with the GFL 9 hole scramble to be held on Sunday June 25 at 2 p.m. The cost is free with complimentary hors d’oeuvres after.
The juniors golf clinic will begin next Tuesday at 8 a.m. at the clubhouse. All subsequent lessons will be on Mondays. Call the clubhouse at 532-2662 to enroll your child.
Coming up the following Saturday, July 1, will be the annual Houlton High School Alumni Association scramble that benefits the Alumni Association. It’s a nine hole scramble starting at 9 a.m., and you do not need to be an HHS alum to participate. Get your team signed up soon as this event fills up rapidly. If you have less than four players we will combine you will others.
Our summer residents will be returning to the lakes which means there will be more new faces to play a round with. And don’t forget that everyone is welcome to join the 18 hole Blitz every Wednesday and Friday at 12:30 p.m.
The Lakeside Restaurant is open and doing well. They are open for a casual lunch Wednesday through Saturday from 10:30 to 2 p.m., dinner Wednesday-Saturday and the famous Sunday Brunch. It’s just a short drive from town. Or if time is tight, call in your order for take out. Mark your calendar for Friday June 30, to enjoy Paul La Pointe during your dining experience.
