A while ago The Ark took in a male cat named Maxwell. Maxwell is a big beautiful pure white cat with blues eyes. Unfortunately Maxwell is deaf. Being deaf does not bother Maxwell he was born that way and doesn’t know he is different.
He is a very loving boy, but he doesn’t do well with other cats. The first few weeks he was with us we tried to introduce him to other cats and he would just stress out and begin throwing up. We moved him by himself and so far that seems to have done the trick. We have also found out that Maxwell needs to be on a hypoallergenic food.

I guess you could say that Maxwell is just a sensitive boy and at the age of 10 he is looking for a new home. Maxwell has also been de-clawed by the previous owner. Needless to say that he can never be a cat that goes outdoor. If you are looking for a handsome senior gentleman then Maxwell is your guy. A while back we also told you about a cat named Indra. She is a beautiful black and white kitty with personality plus. Everyone that meets her falls in love with her, she has even been on television.
Indra is a bit over weight at 16 pounds and is currently on a diet. Indra like Maxwell doesn’t get along with other cats and she is also on a special diet due to allergies. Indra has lost the fur on her sides. She has had a full panel of blood work and has also been tested for thyroid all of those tests came back normal. We are now trying various foods to see what does and doesn’t work. In the meantime Indra cries a lot because she wants a human family of her own. Indra is a very sensitive cat and cannot get enough attention. Do you have room in your heart to adopt Indra and give her the love she so desperately needs?
The Ark is still looking for volunteers to help care for the animals at the sanctuary. If you are interested swing by The Hollywood Pet salon and pick up an application. The Ark is currently caring for 39 cats and kittens. We would love to have you join our team. We will guarantee you will get plenty of head bumps and affection..
We are continuing to move forward and complete the few things left to be done at the sanctuary. We will be planning some extra fundraisers to raise the funds to do this so please stay tuned for more details. We will have an open house at the end of summer as well .
