PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — The Presque Isle Police Department has charged an individual accused of vandalizing another person’s car earlier this month at Presque Isle High School.

On June 22, the department issued a summons to an unidentified individual with charges of aggravated criminal mischief, according to the police report of the incident.

The individual, who police say will later be identified in court documents, allegedly scratched with a key a car driven by a PIHS student and owned by her parents, according to the police report.

The owners of the car, who have not been identified, called to report the damage to the car.

They said the vehicle was damaged during the day of June 8, and that the individual accused of doing the damage had been bragging about it on social media.

The high school’s security cameras captured the incident and served as the evidence, according to the report.
