Several local softball and baseball players had their seasons extended after they were named to all-star teams that competed in games later this week.
Nine players from the region were invited to the Maine Softball Coaches Association’s senior all-star games held Thursday, June 22.
Morganne Emery and Delaney Rossignol, both of LCS/MSSM, and Hodgdon’s Taylor Desrosiers and Southern Aroostook’s Marissa Boulier made the Class C-D North squad, which played the South team at Cony High School in Augusta.
Maddie Doucette, Rachel Soucy and Katie Clark, all of Caribou, joined Presque Isle’s Amy Seeley and Faith Leavitt on the Class A-B North team.
On Friday, June 23, Nick Bartlett joined the Class A-B North team for the Maine Baseball Coaches Association senior all-star game played at Colby College in Waterville.
Cameron Graham, Nick Botting and Thomas Prescott, all of Houlton, and Luis Morales of Southern Aroostook were selected to the Class C-D North squad that played that same day.
