The Walter T.A. Hansen Memorial Library will holds its annual tag sale fundraiser in July and August. Specific days will be announced later.
If you have items to donate, contact the library at 429-9625 to arrange to either drop them off or have them picked up. Volunteers are needed to help set up and run the sale.
The library will be doing a Bikes for Books event until Aug. 12. There are three grade categories: pre-K-K, grades 1-2 and grades 3-6. Children are invited to read books over the summer; there will be two winners in each category. Thanks go to the Aroostook Masons Lodge 197 for donating the bikes.
Regular happenings include Toddler Time on Tuesdays at 10 a.m. and craft club on Mondays from 5:30 to 7:30. The library’s extended hours are 12:30-8 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Homecoming 2017
Homecoming 2017 will take place this year from Aug. 10-13. Parade participants should sign up ahead of time to help with planning; those who sign up after Aug. 6 must pay $25. Sign-up sheets are available at the Mars Hill Town Office or on the website: www.homecomingdays.org.

Rotary Club
The Mars Hill Rotary Club met Tuesday morning, June 27, at 6:30 a.m. at the Aroostook Health Center to hear outgoing Assistant District Governor Floyd Rockholt. He spoke of his appreciation for the Mars Hill club’s participation in events, and encouraged members to continue to join other clubs and district projects.
This year’s District Conference is scheduled for Sept. 22-24 in Miramichi, N.B.

Sunday will have televised church available in the day room and Sunday Service with Jonathan at 1:30 p.m. Monday will feature Nails by Shallie and Melissa at 9:30 a.m. and Adult Coloring at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday will feature Beauty Parlor at 8:30 a.m., Bingo at 9:30 a.m. and Card Games at 1:30 p.m.
