MADAWASKA, Maine — Madawaska police arrested Troy Blier, 29, of Fort Fairfield Sunday evening on an outstanding warrant issued by the Fort Fairfield police.
Officers were led to Blier by a report of a “loud argument” happening at about 9:30 p.m. in the Gateway Motel parking lot, according to Lt. Jamie Pelletier.
Sgt. Matt Derosier found Blier and another person searching for his missing dog. In the course of his investigation at the scene, Derosier determined that Fort Fairfield police had issued an arrest warrant on Blier earlier that day for an alleged violation of a protection order.
Madawaska police also summoned Blier on a charge of operating a motor vehicle after suspension and transported him to the Madawaska police station. Desrosiers also located the missing dog, Pelletier said.
Blier, who cooperated with police, according to Pelletier, was being held at the Caribou police station Monday afternoon, awaiting transport to the Aroostook County Jail in Houlton. Pelletier could not confirm any future court appearances for Blier.
