FORT FAIRFIELD, Maine — The Calais Blue Devils capped their undefeated run in the Girls “County” Basketball Pepsi Shootout tourney on Saturday with a 48-36 victory over Madawaska in the championship game.
Calais was last year’s tourney runner-up. The Blue Devils featured three all-star selections in Lauren Cook, Olivia Huckins and Sophia McVicar. Others named tourney all-stars were Jenna Dugal and Brianne Thibeault, both of Madawaska; Gabby Marquis of Caribou and Breanna Bradbury of Central Aroostook.
Marquis was the winner of the 3-point shootout.
The other team playing in the tourney was host Fort Fairfield. Games were played both Friday and Saturday at Fort Fairfield High School and the Fort Fairfield Armory.
