The Purple Hat ladies of southern Aroostook met at A Place To Eat in Oakfield on Tuesday, July 11. The dining room was decorated in a Fourth of July motif.
The members were framed and pictures were taken. Drawings for the month were won by Arlene Friel and Sandra Holmes. Cindy Gray celebrated a birthday and members sand “Happy Birthday.”
If the weather cooperates our next meeting will be a cookout at the Merrill Millstream picnic area. The menu was discussed and planned. We also discussed our meeting for December. More info will be available for that at the August meeting.
Gray and Charlotte Marley had funny readings. Others attending were: Sandra Holmes, Wannetta Townsend, Marie Gillotti, Delores Locke, Verna Boone, Mildred Gagnon, Bernice Campbell, Arlene Friel, Brenda Lacostic, Sandy Wyman, Ramona White, Betty Wyman and Jackie Colella.
The next meeting will be on Aug. 8.
