CARIBOU, Maine – Christopher R. (Chris) Stephenson died unexpectedly on July 17, 2017 in Caribou, Maine, at the age of 29.

Chris was born in Providence, RI. He graduated from Duxbury High School in Massachusetts in 2006. He then graduated Phi Theta Kappa from Northern Maine Community College with a certificate in Welding and Metal Fabrication and an Associate of Arts degree in Plumbing and Heating.
Chris was a creative, loving spirit with an infectious laugh, a passion for art, history, cooking, hanging out and playing video games with his brother Sean and favorite friends, Ian, Nick, Oakley, Shelby and Guillermo and going on a special camping trip with his dad every summer.
Like his Grandfather “Grandpa Bruno,” Chris loved to journal and write poetry.
Chris is survived by his parents, Frank Stephenson and Jane (Bruno) Stephenson of Barefoot Beach, Florida; his brother, Sean Stephenson of Avondale, AZ; “Auntie” Carol Bruno of Norwalk, CT; Uncle “Chucky” Stephenson of Richmond, VA; and numerous other family members and friends.
An interment service will be held Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Memorial Garden in Naples, FL. A memorial gathering with Chris’ parents and closest friends will be scheduled at a later date in Caribou, ME, where some of his ashes will be spread on top of his favorite mountain where his friends gather and the stars glisten under the summer moonlight in Maine. Arrangements are being handled by Shikany’s Bonita Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left by visiting www.ShikanyFuneralHome.com.
With Chris’ untimely passing, we remind ourselves that Chris was one of the most special human beings on the planet and his life is one to be celebrated. Although we will miss him terribly, he will forever remain in our hearts.
No More Kisses
By: Jane Stephenson
No more kisses, no more hugs
No more sadness, no more drugs
No more tacos, no more fries
No more phone calls, no more tries
Like a bird, your soul is free
But your kisses and hugs remain with me
Love Forever, Mom
