KIMBERLY A. DION, MONTICELLO – Kimberly A. Dion, 47, of Monticello, died July 22, 2017 in Presque Isle after a brief but brave struggle with cancer. She was born April 6, 1970 in Houlton, the daughter of C. Wayne and Jane (Barnes) Drake.
She worked at Main Brand Glove for 13 years and Houlton Walmart for 15 years. She enjoyed bowling, knitting, casino games, watching soap operas, swimming, going on vacations and spending time with her dad and family.
She is survived by her father Wayne Drake and stepmother Ruth of Houlton, Gene Folsom, a special man who helped raise Kim, and step-grandparents Bill and Gladys Belyea; her best friend and beloved husband of 13 years Ernie Dion of Monticello; mother-in-law Millie Dion, two sisters Karla and Rodger Brewer of Monticello and Erica and Dan Soucie of Houlton; two brothers Jared and Morgan Drake of Houlton and Andrew Drake of Houlton; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, and her pets Daisy, Willie, Tiger, and Lucy. She was predeceased by her mother Jane, her paternal grandparents Hazen and Jean Drake, and maternal grandparents Mike and Thelma Barnes.
Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 25 at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water Street, Houlton, where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 26 with the Rev. Wayne Robertson officiating.
