The Caribou-Presque Isle Men’s Softball League’s regular season wrapped up Tuesday, July 25, and the five teams involved will now compete in a double-elimination playoff to determine a champion.
The County Boys finished with an 11-1 record and earned the top seed for the tournament, which gets underway Thursday, July 27, at the Teague Park diamond in Caribou.
T. W. Willard followed with a 9-3 mark, with Inglorious Batters, at 6-6, taking third. Falcon Transportation (3-9) and Ashland One Stop (1-11) were fourth and fifth, respectively.
Ashland One Stop and Falcon Transportation open tourney play with a 7 p.m. matchup, followed by Inglorious Batters against T. W. Willard at 8 p.m.
The winner of the game between Ashland One Stop and Falcon Transportation meets up against County Boys Tuesday, Aug. 1, at 7 p.m., followed by an elimination game between the losers of the July 27 games at 8 p.m. Both contests will also be played in Caribou.
The remainder of the playoff schedule has yet to be announced.
