The mid-July meeting of the Island Falls seniors was held July 20 and included the group’s annual barbecue. Darrell Hartin was our chef with Terry Dwyer as the chef’s helper.
Hamburgers and hot dogs, plus salads and desserts were plentiful. We also celebrated Sherry Hartin’s birthday with a cake made by Louise Butcher.
After cleanup, our business meeting was opened by our president Rich Camire. Business was brief, and after adjournment, we played Bingo with Ellie Peck as the big winner of the day.
Those present were Darrell and Sherry Hartin, Charlene Cram, Darlene Hartin, Mary Lawler, Gloria Noyes, Edith Dwyer. Mary Pipes, Barney and Marci Coursey, Rich Camire, Louise Butcher, Ellie Peck, Jeanne Clements, Terry Dwyer and guests Vera Scott and Lillian Little.
Our next meeting will be held on August 3 and we will have entertainment and play the “bag game.”
