LIMESTONE, Maine — On Saturday, the Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office charged a Limestone woman with stealing drugs intended for her elderly mother.
Kimberly Cullinan, 48, of Limestone reportedly failed to deliver a prescription that was intended for her mother, who resides in a Mars Hill nursing home, according to a press release by Sheriff Darrell Crandall.
The sheriff’s office was tipped off Saturday when officials from the nursing home reported they had been denied the narcotic prescription for an elderly patient at a local pharmacy because it had already been filled by a pharmacy in Caribou.
Deputy Sheriff Rob Thibeault and Sgt. Erica Pelletier were assigned to the investigation and determined that Cullinan had filled her mother’s prescription and failed to deliver the medication to the nursing home for her mother.
Cullinan was arrested and charged with stealing drugs. She was able to post bail and is scheduled to appear in court, in Caribou, in September. The investigation remains active and there is the potential for more criminal charges, Crandall stated.
