Patricia Grace (Scovill) Estabrook

PATRICIA GRACE (SCOVILL) ESTABROOK, HOULTON – The Crowning Day in the earthly life of Patricia Grace (Scovill) Estabrook occurred on July 20, 2017, when she was called into the presence of her Lord and her loved ones who had gone before. Patricia was born to Charles Gerald and Harriet Grace (Kenison) Scovill on December 20, 1933, in Calais, Maine. She attended schools in Calais and Houlton and graduated from Houlton High School.
A lover of gardening, Patricia transformed her surroundings into a gorgeous cottage garden. She was deeply saddened to lose the ability to maintain her gardens. Patricia rescued countless cats during her lifetime. There seemed to be a grapevine amongst strays and cats dissatisfied with their living arrangements – “go to Pat’s house, she’ll feed you and you may be chosen to move into her house.”
Patricia is survived by her son Tom and his wife Kelly and her children Janet, Jake and Jessica; daughter Lucie; and son David. She also leaves behind her beloved cousin Edie Richardson, her sister-in-law Gail Scovill, her wonderful friends Jean Tidd, Peggy and Rusty Botting, Marguerite and Joe Lawlor, Norma London, Tonya Fitzpatrick, Sra Malone, and Sharmin Rand and several nieces and nephews. She will be especially missed by her feline friends Murphy, Fiona, and Bookie.
Greeting her on the other side will be her parents, her brother, John Scovill, her step-mother, Mary Scovill, and many other family and friends.
Visiting hours will be 11am on Friday, July 28, 2017, at Dunn Funeral Home, Park Street, Houlton, where services will be held at 12pm with the Rev. Ginny Urbanek officiating. A private burial at will be held at a later date. Although Patricia loved flowers, donations made payable in her memory to Ark Animal Sanctuary or Houlton Humane Society c/o Dunn Funeral Home 11 Park St. Houlton, ME 04730, would bring a smile to her face.
