HOULTON, Maine — A new king and queen has been crowned as Jace Morse and Taylor London were welcomed as the newest Peanut Carnival royalty Thursday evening at the Gentle Memorial Building.
The 62nd annual Peanut Carnival drew a large crowd to the recreation center as youngsters played a variety of games, paying with peanuts and winning peanuts as prizes. Inclement weather forced the event to be moved inside to the basement of the recreation building.
The highlight of the evening was the crowning of Morse and London as the 2017 Peanut Carnival king and queen. Morse is the son of Jacquie and Josh Morse and London is the daughter of Dan and Nicole London.
