GARTH ALLEN WOTTON, MONTICELLO – Garth Allen Wotton, 75, went home to be with his Lord on Friday, August 4, 2017, while at a Presque Isle hospital with his loving wife Kelly by his side. He was born May 30, 1942, in Monticello, the son of Maurice O. and Rena W. (London) Wotton.
Garth was a farmer, log truck driver, and lifetime member of the Monticello Fire Department. He was a lifetime member of the Monticello Wesleyan Church and an active member of his community. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and going to camp on the Bank Farm. Garth was adored by his seventeen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Many happy memories were created on his adventures. His dog Romeo was a very special companion. Garth loved to tell stories, reminisce, and get to know folks.
He is survived by his wife Kelly, son John Wotton and wife Sara, daughter Ginger Pryor and husband Mark, daughter Darcie Nason and husband Steve, daughter Kallie Lynds, son Chuckie Joslyn and wife Liza, daughter Jenna Wotton and fiancé Blake Bradbury, sister Bevely Harvey, sister-in-law Bonnie Wotton Wing, very special friends Michael Hogan and Myrna Bean, stepmother Pat Wotton, along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Phillip Wotton and brother Earl Wotton. The family would like to thank The County Dialysis center for their loving care.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Jewell Cemetery with the Rev. Jason Rooney officiating. The family invites relatives and friends to a time of refreshment at the Monticello Fire Station.
