On Aug. 2 the Oakfield Senior Citizens met at the Smoki-Haulers Snowmobile Club to enjoy a delicious potluck luncheon followed by an auction with lots of “stuff”.
The business meeting was called to order by Bob Locke. Members recognized August birthdays. Charlotte Marley was the 50/50 winner. The reports by the treasurer, secretary and card reporter were read and accepted.
Then it was time for the auction, and in no time at all the goodies were purchased and on their way to new homes.
Attending were: George Barrow, Iona Nadeau, Earl and Lottie Doughty, Verna Boone, Bob and Delores Locke, Kathleen Boutilier, Gladys Corneil, Don and Charlotte Marley, Berniece Campbell and Wannetta Townsend.
The next meeting will be Wednesday, Aug. 16, at the usual time and place. Come and join us.
