AARP plans local healthcare forum

PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — AARP Maine will co-host a community conversation about health care in Presque Isle on Tuesday, Aug. 22, at the Mark and Emily Turner Memorial Library from 5 to 6:30 p.m.

Steve Farnham from the Aroostook Agency on Aging, Bill Flagg of Cary Medical Center and Patti Dorman of Pines Health Services will join AARP to answer questions from County residents about health care.

All questions are welcome. Topics will include medicare, The Affordable Care Act (ACA), the cost of prescription drugs, long-term care and general access to health care in The County.

The event is free and open to the public.
