CASTLE HILL, Maine – Dana S. McHatten, 85, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Presque Isle surrounded by family. He was born August 30, 1931 in Castle Hill, the son of Stanley and Gertha (Richardson) McHatten.
He farmed a small farm and worked customer delivery at Happy Cooking Gas and then at McCain Foods as a maintenance man. Dana is survived by his wife Darlene (Clayton) McHatten of Castle Hill, a daughter Judith Nadeau and her husband William of Newburgh, a son Kendall McHatten and his wife Susan of Castle Hill, a daughter Carol Wright and her husband Michael of Lenoir City, TN, and a son Paul McHatten and his wife Julie of Castle Hill, six grandchildren; Aaron Nadeau, Devin McHatten, Amanda McHatten, Christopher and Lucas Wright, and Kelly Sheehan; eight great-grandchildren, two brothers and their wives; Dale and Sylvia McHatten of Mapleton, Hugh and Sandra McHatten of Castle Hill, several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held 12 noon Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Castle Hill Cemetery, Castle Hill, with Pastor Darren Bonville officiating. Online condolences may be shared at www.duncan-graves.com
