ST. AGATHA, Maine — The Wisdom girls’ dropped to 3-2 following a 2-0 loss on Tuesday to visiting Ashland.
Alyssa Banville made 25 saves on 49 shots for Wisdom. However, her teammates, who have scored 20 goals already this season, were unable to find the back of the net against the Hornets.
Morgan Doughty scored two second-half goals for Ashland. Amber Chasse and Olivia Tardie provided assists for the 4-0 Hornets. Megan Cote came up with five saves against Wisdom.
On the boys side, Ashland also blanked Wisdom on Tuesday, 4-0.
Dylan Haley tallied three second-half goals, propelling Ashland to its first win of the season. Mason Deabay added a first-half goal for the 1-3 Hornets. Isaiah McIntyre saved all eight shots from the Pioneers.
Jack Guerrette made 14 saves on 18 Hornet shots for Wisdom, which fell to 3-2 following the loss.
