123 youth compete in Labor Day track event

CARIBOU, Maine — One hundred and twenty three girls and boys participated in this year’s Aroostook Federal Savings and Loan Viking Run, a running event for youth held on Labor Day, Sept. 4, at the high school track.

The top three girls and boys in each of the five divisions are as follows:

Pre-K and kindergarten quarter mile: girls, first, Annalise Griffeth, 1:56; second, Scarlett Beckum, 2:11; and third, Augustina Quarmyne, 2:16; boys, first, Tommy Flannery, 2:05; second, Samuel Gomez, 2:15; and third, Kaysen DeMerchant, 2:15.

Grades 1-2 half mile: girls, first, Breanna Royer, 3:45; second, Emma Graves, 3:51; and Milana Hearn, 4:23; boys, first, Elias Gomez, 3:37; second, Andrew Rosser, 3:38; and third, Brigs Peterson, 3:56.

Grades 3-4 half mile: girls, first, Maggie Bell, 3:37; second, Emerson Miller, 4:06; and third, Elizabeth Robbins, 4:30; boys, first, Gavin LeTourneau, 3:34; second, Landon Willett, 3:38; and third, Colby Ouellette, 3:50.

Grades 5-6 mile: girls, first, Teanne Ewings, 6:43; second, Emma Butler, 8:38; and third, Lily Bray, 8:40; boys, first, Camden Pelletier, 6:56; second, Isaac Staples, 7:05; and third, Jim O’Meara, 7:08.

Grades 7-8 mile: girls, first, Annalise Jandreau, 6:10; second, Kayley Bell, 6:21; and third, Saffayia Durepo, 6:55; boys, first, Carter Pelletier, 5:55; second, Ari Plante, 5:57; and third, Alden Wilcox, 6:08.
