WINSLOW AND PRESQUE ISLE, Maine – Ronald H. Soucier, 72, passed away surrounded by his family early Tuesday morning Sept. 5, 2017 at Maine General Hospital in Augusta following a long illness. He was born July 5, 1945 in Caribou, the son of Harold A. and Lillian (Theriault) Soucier.
He served in the US Navy. He worked many years for the US Government in logistics, at Loring AFB, Davis-Monthan AFB, and Spangtdahlem, Germany. He enjoyed spending time with all his family, and was known for being the life of the party at family get-togethers. He is survived by his wife Kathleen (McDougal) Soucier of Winslow, a son Harold and his wife Jenny of Coventry, RI, two daughters; Holly Soucier of Winslow, and Heidi Forbes and her husband Jason of Hermon, five sisters; Phyllis Cassidy of E. Hartford, CT, Deborah Egan of Brewer, Sandra Pelkey of Presque Isle, Margaret LaPointe of Masardis, and Tammy Gary of Presque Isle, mother-in-law Shirley Wood, sisters-in-law Bonnie Soucier and Ann Soucier, brother-in-law Robert Miller, three beautiful grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Ronald was predeceased by two brothers Philip and Paul Soucier, and a sister, Carolyn Miller.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday Sept. 9 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Parish of the Precious Blood. Interment with military honors was held at Fairmount Cemetery, Presque Isle. Donations may be made in his memory to the Harold Alfond Cancer Center in Augusta. Online condolences may be shared at
