CARIBOU, Maine — Codie Robbins, 25, of Caribou, is currently in jail facing six charges following his alleged involvement in a Sept. 13 break-in at a home on Ogden Road.

An Ogden Road man called 911 at 5:18 p.m. to report that “someone broke into his house,” according to a Monday posting on the Caribou Police Department’s Facebook page. The caller added that the individual was still in the home.

Officers reported that they witnessed the homeowner chasing a man into the woods when they arrived, but that the man came back to the house after they “hollered to him.”

After detaining and identifying Robbins, the officers said they determined that he had broken into the home and taken “numerous items,” all of which were recovered, according to the Facebook post.

The officers also reported that Robbins “used physical force” against the Ogden Road man in “an attempt to get away.”

Police charged Robbins with Class A robbery, Class B burglary, Class D assault, Class E theft, Class D criminal mischief, and violating conditions of release, a Class E crime.

Robbins’ court date is set for Nov. 2 with bail set at $10,000 cash or $20,000 surety.
