Sterling ‘Butch’ Charles Levesque, Jr.

WASHBURN, Maine – Sterling ‘Butch’ Charles Levesque, Jr., 68, passed away unexpectedly. He was born April 1, 1949, in Caribou, the son of Sterling C. Levesque, Sr. and Glenna A. (Conley) Levesque.

Dad’s father passed away when he was 9 years of age, but Dad had the greatest opportunity to have the chance to have a father/son relationship with Nana’s future husband, Milford C. White. Dad was an avid hunter. Anyone who knew him would know this. It was his pride and joy in the fall of 2016 that he shot a buck and was entered into the 200 lb. club. Dad loved everyone around him. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, son, son-in-law, and good friend to many.
Dad attended Washburn District High School. He was a hard worker and found pleasure in working for SAD 45 for many years as a custodian/bus driver. Dad served in the Maine Army National Guard from January 1968-May 1997. Dad would never stop working, even when it may have been detrimental to his own health. He always had a “project” or just doing general maintenance and grounds keeping for Salmon Brooks Estate where he resided. In the fall and sometimes in the off months Dad could be seen loading and driving potatoes for White Farms in Crouseville.
Dad was married to the love of his life, Carol (Roxine) Levesque for 30 years, at which time she passed away on April 24, 1999. Dad loved and missed her so much over the years. Now, they will be together, as it should be.
Dad was predeceased by his father, Sterling C. Levesque, Sr., his father-in-law Roch U. Levesque, and Milford C. White.
Dad is survived by his four loving daughters; Tammy L. Susi and her husband Scott of Caribou, Shannon M. Cook and her husband David of Ashland, Holly B. Grant and husband Carl of Woodland, and Heather L. Levesque and her significant other Kevin of Caribou. He is also survived by his grandchildren, who he adored; Miranda Levesque, Emilee Susi, Michael Cook, Mitchell Cook, Kimberlee Susi, and Wyatt Grant, his great-grandchildren Abel and Ezra Browning of Woodland. Dad is also survived by his mother Glenna A. White of Washburn, his mother-in-law Marian Z. Turner of Presque Isle, his sisters Brenda McCoy and her husband Mike of Wade, and Mavis Rose of Washburn. Dad is also survived by several aunts and uncles, nephews, nieces and special friends, who we would like to mention….Craig Hamann, Steve Holmes and Myles Bolstridge. He so loved you boys.
