HOULTON, Maine — Classmates of Houlton High School’s Class of 1967 gathered at the County Co-Op Farm Store the morning of Saturday, Aug. 19, for coffee and social time. Many of those were attending their first reunion, while others have been to several.
At 5:30 p.m., the official reunion began at the Shiretown Inn banquet room, which was decorated with a gold and black theme featuring hanging lanterns and white lights. Classmates enjoyed appetizers and a delicious buffet meal followed by entertainment from Mike Dow.
Class president Bill Callnan welcomed classmates and guests. He thanked all those who worked to put the reunion together. Becky Campbell Miller reflected on classmates who have passed away and read the list of names.
Rev. David Tuttle asked the blessing on the meal. Following the banquet, dessert was served of a large cake decorated with class colors of light blue and dark blue, with the class flowers of pink and white carnations.
After dinner, HHS Alumni Association member and former teacher Gary Bossie presented the 50th reunion award to Andrea Joslyn Tidd for having given the most service to the community and class.
Dow then invited Becky and Gerry Miller onto the dance floor to being the dancing in honor of their 50th wedding anniversary.
