NEW SWEDEN, Maine — Corey Raymond, 19, of Fort Kent, was taken to Cary Medical Center Sunday night after rolling his vehicle in a New Sweden crash.
Raymond was driving south on Route 161 at about 6:30 p.m. when he “lost control of his” 2014 Chevrolet Malibu, according to a release issued Monday by Sgt. Jeffrey Clark of the Maine State Police. The vehicle then went off the right side of the roadway and rolled over before coming to rest in a field.
Raymond was “ejected from the vehicle,” in the crash, Clark reported.
Maine Game Warden Ed Christie came upon the accident at 6:41 p.m., apparently minutes after the accident occurred, according to the release.
Raymond was transported with injuries that were not considered life threatening to Cary Medical Center by members of Caribou Fire and Ambulance, according to Clark.
Trooper Andrew Levesque is investigating the cause of the crash.
