LOIS M. BOTTING, HOULTON – Lois M. Botting, 85, died September 26, 2017, in Houlton, with her family by her side. She was born May 31, 1932, in Houlton, the daughter of Kenneth and Mary (Carpenter) McIver.
Lois enjoyed spending time with her family, Jeeping and camping.
She is survived by her 4 children, Merle and Peggy Botting of Houlton, John Botting and Peter Botting, both of Hammond, and Karen Warman and her husband, Kenton, of Ludlow; 8 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Merle E. Botting; and 4 siblings, Clarence “Chum”, Joe McIver, Betty McLean and Gene McIver.
The family would like to thank Dr. Abouleish and the staff of Houlton Regional Hospital, as well as Mary Hill and the Madigan Estates staff for their compassionate care of Lois.
Friends may call 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, October 1, at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water Street, Houlton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. on Monday at St. Mary’s of the Visitation with Father Kent Ouellette, celebrant. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery with a reception to follow at St. Mary’s Parish Center.
