HOULTON, Maine — The Greater Houlton Christian Academy held its annual Harvest Festival and Auction Saturday, Oct. 7, drawing a good crowd to the school.
Featuring ideal weather conditions for children’s games, youngsters tried their hand at such activities as putting a golf ball into the mouth of a jack o’lantern, sticking their hands into a gooey-filled bucket in search of a prize, and getting their faces painted.
While the children enjoyed games outside, adults could partake of the school’s annual auction, which serves as one of the primary fundraisers for the year.
The auction raised more than $11,000 for the school.
