OAKFIELD, Maine – Leonard E. Boutilier, 83, passed away October 15, 2017 at his home with his family by his side. He was born May 27, 1934 in Oakfield, the son of Wendell and Gladys (Parker) Boutilier.
He enjoyed working, especially driving his tractor, and passing on his knowledge and work ethic to his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his four children, Barbara Boutilier of Smyrna, Brian and Lisa Boutilier of Oakfield, Jill and William Buber of Oakfield, Scott and Michelle Boutilier of Oakfield; a daughter-in-law, Avis Boutilier of Iowa; nine grandchildren, Tonya, Tyler, Breianna, Michelle, Jeff, Jeremy, Sarah, LeeAnna and Amaya; seven great-grandchildren, David, William, Jaxon, Damon, Riley, Emily and Adain; three sisters, Lois Somers of Oakfield, Janet Harvey of Patten, Donna Hersey of Oakfield; a brother, Dale and his wife, Marlene of Oakfield; a sister-in-law, Kathleen Boutilier; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Anne; a son, Gene; a granddaughter, Holly; a brother, Everett and two sisters, Jean Crandall and Joyce Hersey.
A graveside funeral service will be held 12 noon on Thursday, October 19th at the Oakfield Cemetery with Rev. Sterling Lawrence officiating.
