Bailey (left) and Bandit are feral brothers, 5 to 6 weeks old, residing at a Halfway Home Pet Rescue foster home in Caribou. HHPR volunteers will work with the kittens, teaching them trust and love.
When they are ready, the kittens will be transferred to another experienced foster home, in which the entire family will play with them and teach them that human hands will not harm them. The kittens’ mother and two other kittens have not yet been captured. Halfway Home Pet rescue is not a shelter, but a feline rescue and rehabilitation center. The rescue needs more homes willing to foster elderly cats for the rest of their lives. The foster family provides the love and safety and the rescue provides for any medical expenses the cats may need. There are currently five elderly cats needing placement. Call 999-1075 to ask for an foster volunteer application. In addition, HHPR has several young adult cats with all their medical completed and ready for adoption, and at least a dozen kittens that will be ready within the next couple of weeks.
