MAPLETON, Maine — Officials at the towns of Mapleton, Castle Hill and Chapman have announced that Deputy Clerk Susan Skidgell has successfully completed the process of becoming a lifetime certified clerk through the Maine Town and City Clerks Association.
Skidgell’s dedication and hours of hard work led to the designation. She began working for the towns temporarily in 2003, and was hired as an assistant clerk in 2005. She eventually became the deputy clerk.
“I think Sue’s Lifetime certification is just another example of the type of professional people who live, work and support the communities of Mapleton, Castle Hill and Chapman,” said Mapleton, Castle Hill and Chapman Town Manager David Dionne.
“I knew Sue before I started working here, and she has been very active and dedicated to her profession for many years,” Dionne added.
Skidgell was officially recognized by the MTCCA on Sept. 12 in Waterville during their 2017 annual meeting.
