AUGUSTA, Maine — Rep. David McCrea, D-Fort Fairfield, has received a 100 percent on environmental and public health policy votes in the newly released Maine Conservation Voters’ 2017 Environmental Scorecard.
“As a grandfather, I am proud of my votes to ensure that we have a clean, safe environment for our children and grandchildren,” said McCrea. “Maine’s economy relies on our natural environment, and it is our responsibility to help keep it clean and beautiful now and for generations to come.”
The statewide environmental advocacy group examined seven key bills, including landmark mining protections, banning toxic chemicals in upholstery, raising awareness of arsenic in well water and adding a 5 cent deposit on ‘nip’ liquor bottles in an effort to reduce litter.
