Artist Richard Clark on display

CARIBOU, Maine — Artist Richard Clark has several of his works on display through the end of the year at the Nylander Museum of Natural History in Caribou.

Some of the pencil drawings on display at the museum are of “the last snow of the season falling and melting” near Clarks’s home and his Woods Edge Gallery in Perham. Others are of “northern white cedar swamps with their leaning trunks and tangle of limbs,” according to the artist.

The museum itself houses the collections of the late naturalist Olof Nylander, including fossils, mineral specimens, insects and taxidermy, according to the nonprofit organization. The facility is open 1-3 p.m. Sundays with tours given anytime by appointment.
