HOULTON, Maine — The Robinson Ballet’s Nutcracker is returning to Houlton for a performance at the Houlton Community Arts Center.
Scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 26, at 2 p.m., the program is presented collaboratively by the Houlton Community Arts Center Council (HCACC) and the RSU 29 Music Program.
“It has been several years since this beloved ballet has been presented in Houlton,” said Nancy Ketch one of event organizers. “For many, it is a family tradition and evokes memories of childhood.”
Tickets for the Nutcracker are now on sale at the Greater Houlton Chamber of Commerce, the County Co-Op and Farm Store and Mini Music Shop. They are also available online at Eventbrite.com. A limited number of Premium Tickets are available for $20 each and will be in the first four center rows. General Admission Tickets are $12 for Adults and $8 for 18 and under.
Area businesses, organizations and individuals are invited to be involved in the program through a variety of sponsorship levels. The sponsorships will provide funding to help make the performance possible.
Four sponsorship levels are available. A “Nutcracker Sponsor” of $1,000 will have their name and/or logo on the event poster with the presenters and will appear on the cover of the program. They will also be given four premium tickets to the performance.
In addition there is a $500 “Sugar Plum Fairy Sponsor” available which includes the name on the cover of the program and four general admission tickets. The “Mouse King Sponsor” is $250 and will include the name appearing inside the program and two general admission tickets. A $100 “Troupe Sponsorship” is also being offered with inclusion in the program and one general admission ticket. All sponsors will get additional publicity of varying amounts on the HCACC website and Facebook pages as well as some other promotional materials.
