BRIDGEWATER, EASTON, and CONNOR, Maine — Robert Keith Allen, 84, passed away peacefully with his children by his side on October 31, 2017, at a Presque Isle Facility. He was born in Bridgewater on June 28th, 1933, to Roland and Rose (Parks) Allen.
Bob served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War from 1950 to 1954. He owned and operated a small business, Bob’s TV, for many years in the Marlborough Massachusetts area. He moved his family back to Maine in 1974 and worked at Maine Potato Service Company in Presque Isle for many years. He went back to school to study Electrical wiring and achieved his Master’s Electrician License. He worked at Fairfield Energy until his retirement in 2000. His joy was hunting, fishing and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Bob is survived by his children, Terri and Joe Lacouture of Marlborough, Mass; Kevin and Susan Allen of Shrewsbury, Mas; Sheila Belle-Isle of Easton; Jodi and CJ King of Easton; grandchildren, Jason, Erik, Mitchell, Kyle, Coleby, Joseph, Jacob, Lindsey, and Robert, great-grandchildren Alysabeth, Ally, Layla, Jason “JJ”, Jemma, Sullivan, Gracen and Scarlett.
He was predeceased by his parents, one brother, Dale Allen, and special friend, Mae Chamberlain. He will be fondly remembered by Julia E. Allen, Kevin Chamberlain, Karen Chamberlain, Lynn Jones, and their families.
The family would like to thank the caregivers at the Maine Veterans Home in Caribou and Presque Isle Rehab and Nursing for their wonderful and loving care of their Dad.
Per the family wishes there will be no services. Interment will be held at a later date.
