We are just days away from our biggest event of the year. This Saturday, Nov. 11, we will be hosting our eighth annual Toast to the Animals at the Presque Isle Inn & Convention Center.
This is a fun and relaxing evening that will run from 6 to 9 p.m. There will be a wine and beer tasting, with other options for non-drinkers, and a variety of tasty appetizers and samplings. Brian and Doug from Common Crossing will entertain everyone with some of their fabulous music. We will draw multiple door prizes and a 50/50 drawing, but our big draw is our popular Silent Auction that will showcase 100 items. We are thrilled to announce that one of Maine’s talented artists, Tim Gagnon, has been kind enough to donate one of his original prints.
So many businesses and individuals have come forward with wonderful auction items for everyone to bid on … guaranteed there will be something for everyone. The amount of sponsor support and donations has been incredible and without the community support, this event just wouldn’t be possible. All the proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly to the animals and their care.
Our slideshow during the Toast has become popular, showcasing not only our sponsor support, but some “happy ending” stories. If you have adopted a pet from the shelter and would like to have it added to our slideshow, please email a photo, pet’s name and your name to winona.christnot@gmail.com. Time is short, so please email it within the next couple days.
